BBS Website finally getting setup
After quite a long while, I am finally working to get the website for the BBS setup. There is still more work to do. Any suggestions to the site are welcome! There is a web based telnet client on the site that should allow visitors to be able to dial into the BBS. Currently it’s …

CCGMS Emergency Term OLD
Help! I just purchased a C64 telnet modem (userport or swiftlink based), but I have no working terminal software. How can I get myself online?
If this sounds like the situation you are in, then you have come to the right place. It took me some time to get this setup, and it will require a bit of typing into your C64. However in the end you will have a compact, minimal featured version of CCGMS. You will be able to type ATDT commands to dial into a telnet BBS, and use Xmodem/XmodemCRC to download a larger more full-featured terminal software (ie CCGMS Future, Novaterm, etc)
Here are the steps needed:
1) Type in 64MLX (optionally, type in and use proofreader to make sure you type 64MLX in correctly), save to disk and then run 64MLX. Learn more about using MLX here.
2) Set starting address to 24F2, ending address to 4201, and clear workspace.
3) Type in ccgmsEmerMLX listings fully. Any typos should give a different checksum. After it’s fully typed in, then save file to disk/tape, can be called ccgms-Emer.
4) Reset machine, LOAD”ccgms-Emer”,8,1 (or filename you saved as. Then type in SYS 16868. CCGMS Emergency term should load
5) Please use to call a BBS of your choice, to download a full featured terminal (ie, CCGMS, Novaterm, etc).
